SECOND ACT THRIFT STORE SALES ASSOCIATE – Part-Time

Responsible for assisting with the operation of Second ACT Thrift Store.  Responsibilities include working with staff and volunteers, sales, merchandising, customer service, sorting, pricing and general appearance and condition.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  1. Assist customers.
  2. Responsible for sorting and distribution of inventory and stocking per agency established
  3. Responsible for the overall appearance and cleaning procedures per agency guidelines.
  4. Maintain security procedures to minimize theft per agency guidelines.
  5. Maintain store layouts and displays to enhance sales per agency guidelines.
  6. Work with clients that participate in job skills training.
  7. Sort and organize donations for shelters and clients.
  8. Assist clients with their clothing needs.
  9. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures and applicable state and federal laws.
  10. Work with staff and volunteers as a team.
  11. Assist in training volunteers in procedures and store operations.
  12. Responsible for implementation of fiscal controls and procedures per agency guidelines when closing out at night.
  13. Insure accurate cash management on a daily basis during work hours.
  14. Assume all other duties as assigned by the Second ACT Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:

Position requires an energetic, independent, self-motivated individual who possesses strong management and organizational skills.  Position requires organizing, planning and excellent customer service skills to maintain good standing in the community.  Position also requires the ability to structure time and supervise diverse groups of volunteers.  Individual must be cooperative and tactful, and relate well to all types of people.

Second ACT Thrift Store is owned and operated by Abuse Counseling and Treatment, Inc. is a non-profit agency serving victims of domestic violence and their children and survivors of sexual assault and human trafficking in Lee, Hendry and Glades Counties.
