Direct & Indirect Volunteer Positions
ACT's Volunteer Job Opportunities fall into two basic categories based on where you Volunteer within ACT.
Direct Service volunteer positions involve direct contact with ACT clients. Therefore, direct service volunteers are required to have initial Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault training, a total of 54 hours of training. After the initial training, direct service volunteers will be required to obtain 24 hours of general training, and 6 hours of sexual assault training. All training is conducted in the Admin offices of ACT. After completion of training, a Local and FBI background check will be conducted, as well as a Drug Test.
Indirect Service volunteers do not need training, and there are no Background or Drug Test requirements.
